Our client are an expanding multi-site company, they are now seeking an experience payroll executive to join their friendly team on a part-time basis. This is a brilliant opportunity for a payroll professional who wants a varied, meaningful role without the full-time commitment.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle across a portfolio of sites working with an outsourced payroll bureau. Alongside processing, you'll act as the internal HRIS expert, supporting teams to get the best out of the system and drive best-practice adoption across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collate and submit monthly payroll data to the payroll bureau, reviewing and approving output within agreed timelines
- Oversee starters, leavers, salary changes and all statutory payments
- Manage pension auto-enrolment and ensure ongoing compliance
- Resolve payroll queries promptly and with care
- Provide monthly payroll journals and reconcile net pay, PAYE and pension
- Prepare and submit P11Ds (with a view to transitioning to payrolling Benefits in Kind)
- Identify process improvements to reduce manual intervention and streamline sign-off
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years' payroll experience in a multi-site environment
- Hands-on experience with Fourth (ideally)
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation: PAYE, NI, pensions, statutory payments and HMRC reporting.
