Rochdale Council are looking for a part-time receptionist to join their team at the Meanwood Family Hub. This role is crucial in providing administrative support and creating a welcoming environment for children, young people, families, and visitors.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Manage administration procedures such as maintaining visitor books, issuing visitor passes, and ensuring all visitors sign in and out.
- Answering calls and handling customer queries.
- Operate local authority IT systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Liquid Logic) to input data on attendance and outcomes, and generate reports.
- Collate documentation and assist with preparations for inspections or peer reviews.
- Provide direct administrative support including organizing meetings, handling correspondence and managing resource orders and petty cash.
- Create a welcoming reception environment for all visitors.
- Arrange hospitality for meetings and training sessions, including room setup and IT requirements.
- Occasionally provide reception cover and administrative support across other service buildings in the borough.
- Assist staff from partner agencies with appointment bookings and information distribution.
- Support the organisation and administration of hub sessions, including communication with parents and partners, and managing bookings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Liquid Logic or similar systems.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in handling confidential information and understanding of relevant legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
