Parts Assistant / Counter Sales Advisor

£30,000 – £35,000 DOE + Benefits
Monday – Friday 8am – 5.30pm / Every other Saturday 8.30am – 1pm
A well-established supplier of agricultural and land-based equipment is looking to recruit a Parts Assistant / Counter Sales Advisor to support its busy parts department.
This is a customer-focused role that would suit someone with experience in parts, stores, trade counter sales, or machinery-related environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers receive the right products while helping maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the parts function.
The Role
Reporting into the Parts Department, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with parts enquiries both over the phone and in person
- Processing orders and ensuring parts are supplied accurately and efficiently
- Managing goods received and dispatched
- Maintaining stock records and supporting inventory control processes
- Identifying opportunities to maximise parts sales and customer satisfaction
- Working closely with workshop and service teams to fulfil internal requirements
- Ensuring the parts department remains organised, compliant, and customer-focused
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Experience within a parts, stores, trade counter, customer service, or sales environment
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based stock systems
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- A full UK driving licence
Knowledge of agricultural, plant, automotive, commercial vehicle, or machinery sectors would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided.
