SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded junior school in North West London in the recruitment of a unique and rewarding Pastoral Lead, Intervention & PPA Teacher position for September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who is passionate about supporting the whole child and wants to make a meaningful impact beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Combining teaching, pastoral leadership and intervention work, this role would suit someone who thrives on building relationships, removing barriers to learning and helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

The Role

This is a varied position that sits at the heart of the school community.

You will work closely with pupils, staff and families to support children's wellbeing whilst also delivering high-quality teaching across the school.

Key responsibilities will include:

Pastoral Leadership

Supporting pupils experiencing social, emotional or behavioural challenges

Building positive relationships with children and families

Working closely with senior leaders and external agencies where required

Supporting attendance, wellbeing and engagement initiatives

Acting as a trusted adult for vulnerable pupils

Academic Intervention

Delivering targeted interventions in English and Mathematics

Supporting pupils who require additional academic support

Monitoring progress and helping close attainment gaps

Working with teachers to identify pupils requiring intervention

PPA Teaching

Delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 2

Covering teacher PPA time

Maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning

Supporting pupils across a range of year groups

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has successful primary teaching experience

Is passionate about pupil wellbeing and inclusion

Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

Can deliver effective interventions to accelerate progress

Works collaboratively with colleagues and families

Is resilient, compassionate and proactive

Believes every child can succeed with the right support

Experience in pastoral, inclusion, SEND or safeguarding-related roles would be advantageous but is not essential.
