Patent Litigation Associate – London
A leading intellectual property team is looking to appoint a newly qualified Solicitor to join its highly regarded patent litigation team in London. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected IP litigators in the market, advising an impressive portfolio of innovative clients across a wide range of complex patent and technology disputes.
You will gain exposure to high-profile UK and UPC matters from day one, working in a collaborative team that values technical expertise, professional development and early responsibility. This role is ideally suited to a Newly Qualified Solicitor with a genuine interest in intellectual property litigation and a strong STEM academic background.
Responsibilities
- Assist on complex UK patent litigation and UPC proceedings
- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on high-value IP disputes
- Draft court documents, legal research and strategic advice
- Liaise directly with clients, technical experts and counsel
- Support all stages of litigation from pre-action strategy through to trial
- Contribute to business development and client relationship activities
Requirements
- Newly qualified UK Solicitor (or qualifying shortly)
- Strong academic background with a STEM degree (essential)
- Experience gained in intellectual property disputes during training
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in patent litigation and emerging technologies
