Portfolio Payroll are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator for a business based in Manchester City Centre on a permanent basis. The role is a great role for someone looking to build and develop their career in Payroll.
As a Payroll Administrator, you main duties and responsibilities are:
- Deliver end-to-end payroll processing to strict deadlines, including high-volume routine transactions, adjustments, corrections and special payments.
- Maintain accurate employee data across payroll systems, performing validation checks and quality assurance to ensure error-free payroll runs.
- Calculate and process statutory elements such as SSP, SMP, SPP, bonuses, annual leave and other payroll-related deductions.
- Prepare payroll journals, complete monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and resolve payroll variances in collaboration with Finance.
- Handle employee payroll enquiries professionally, maintain confidentiality, and escalate complex issues when required.
- Work collaboratively with HR, Finance and wider teams, supporting compliance, documentation standards and contributing to process improvements.
