Our client, an Education focused business based in Reading, are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator for a 2 – 3 month period. They are looking for someone to start ASAP. The role is 5 days a week in office.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Input pension amendments
• Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SPP and SMP
• Processing of P11D returns
• Monthly payroll journal uploads, accurate and timely.
• Reconcile hours worked per time records against contracted hours.
• Answer staff questions about salary, deductions, attendance, time records, as well as dealing with pension queries.
• Liaison with various external agencies such as HMRC and pension provider
What the client is looking for:
• Previous experience within a Payroll position
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively to strict deadlines
