What will the Payroll Officer role involve?
- Managing the accurate processing of staff salaries, expenses, and third-party payments to ensure timely releases
- Administering pension schemes and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations
- Providing a professional and customer-focused payroll support service to staff and external agencies
- Liaising effectively with internal departments and external bodies to ensure smooth payroll operations
- Assisting the Payroll Manager in maintaining payroll procedures and supporting continuous process improvement
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Officer vacancy:
- Solid experience in payroll administration, ideally within a complex environment
- Knowledge of pension schemes, statutory payroll compliance, and expense processing
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
- Effective communication skills with a professional manner to build rapport across teams
- Proactive mindset and a willingness to learn new systems and procedures
