Owen Reed is looking for a Temporary Payroll Assistant for a leading law firm in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Assistant to join a busy payroll team and provide essential support with the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. The Temporary Payroll Assistant will play a key role in ensuring payroll data is maintained correctly while delivering a high level of service to employees and managers.
Working Arrangement
This is a temporary position based in London. Hybrid working may be available depending on business requirements.
The Role
As a Temporary Payroll Assistant, you will support the payroll function by preparing and processing payroll information, maintaining employee records, and assisting with payroll reconciliations. The Temporary Payroll Assistant will also respond to payroll-related queries and help ensure compliance with company policies and relevant payroll legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll data.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Review timesheets, overtime, and absence records to ensure accuracy.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
- Support payroll reconciliations and reporting activities.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies and payroll legislation.
- Assist the payroll team with administrative duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Administrator, or in a similar payroll support role.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of numerical accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
