Description
Payroll Assistant
- Support the preparation and delivery of monthly payroll, ensuring employee data and payroll records are accurate and up to date.
- Process payroll changes including overtime, pensions, benefits, leave, deductions, and employee updates.
- Maintain payroll systems and ensure alignment between HR, payroll, and finance records.
- Assist with payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations and payroll journal postings.
- Support the administration of pensions, healthcare, childcare, HMRC processes, and other employee benefit schemes.
- Contribute to payroll-related projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, external providers, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth payroll service.
Profile
A successful Payroll Assistant should have:
- Previous payroll experience and a solid understanding of UK payroll processes.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to analyse and reconcile data accurately.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and pension administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Commutable distance (near Beaconsfield – ideally a driver as opposed to a public transport user)
