Part Time Payroll and VAT Clerk
Salary: £13.00 to £19.00 per hour
Location: St Albans
Working Pattern: Office based
Hours: Part time, approximately 20 hours per week. School hours can be accommodated.
We are looking for an experienced and organised Payroll and VAT Clerk to join a friendly and supportive accountancy practice on a part time basis.
This is a flexible opportunity offering approximately 20 hours per week. You can choose the days and hours that work best for you, provided you are able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Processing payroll for a range of clients

Preparing and submitting VAT returns

Bookkeeping duties

Communicating with clients via email and telephone

Providing general administrative support where required
Requirements

Previous experience processing payroll

Experience preparing VAT returns

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Confident communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
