Job Purpose
An opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy accountancy bureau, providing an accurate and professional payroll service to a portfolio of approximately 200 client payrolls across weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annual cycles. The role also includes preparing client invoices for additional services and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-end processing of multiple client payrolls.

Maintaining employee records including starters, leavers, changes and deductions.

Calculating statutory payments, pensions, student loans and attachments of earnings.

Processing timesheets, overtime, bonuses and expenses.

Submitting RTI returns and producing payslips, P45s and P60s.

Managing auto-enrolment duties and reconciling payrolls.

Acting as a key contact for payroll clients and responding to queries.

Supporting onboarding of new payroll clients.

Preparing and issuing payroll and additional service invoices.

Maintaining accurate records and adhering to bureau procedures.
Person Specification
Essential:
-
Previous payroll experience, ideally in an accountancy bureau or multi-client environment.

Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Confident communicator with strong IT skills, including Excel and payroll systems.
Desirable:

Experience with bureau payroll software (ideally BrightPay).

Experience producing client invoices.
