Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this Client, a successful and inclusive secondary school based in the London Borough of Newham, in their search for an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis from September.

This Client is seeking a passionate Physical Education specialist who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to contribute to Key Stage 5 being advantageous. The successful candidate will join a committed department that promotes participation, achievement and a lifelong appreciation of health, fitness and sport.

This Client is a community secondary school with a strong commitment to inclusion, achievement and student wellbeing. The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning experiences.
  • Inspire students to participate in sport and physical activity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
  • Support extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures and enrichment activities.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school.

Qualifications Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a closely related subject.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements for PE.

Salary: London MPS/UPS

M1 – M6 Salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6, UPS requires formal application. TLR payments made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.

Contract Type: Permanent

Start Date: September
