Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with a successful logistics organisation that has experienced substantial growth in recent years and is across multiple UK locations. As the business continues to evolve, they're looking to appoint a People Partner to become a key member of the Stoke leadership team and support the next phase of growth.
Reporting into an experienced and highly respected People Director, you'll be responsible for partnering with a site of around 120 employees whilst also supporting wider people initiatives across the business.
Why this role stands out
Whilst strong Employee Relations capability is essential, this role offers much more than day-to-day HR support.
You'll partner closely with operational leaders across warehousing, transport and support functions, providing commercially focused HR support in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
* Drive Learning & Development initiatives across the business
* Develop onboarding frameworks and career pathways
* Support succession planning and capability building
* Utilise people data and insights to influence decision making
* Lead and contribute to HR and business improvement projects
* Coach and develop managers across operational teams
* Support organisational change and business transformation initiatives
* Become a trusted advisor and sounding board to senior stakeholders
This is a role for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, solving problems and taking ownership rather than simply responding to issues as they arise.
About you
We're looking for a well-rounded HR professional who combines strong operational HR capability with the desire to make a broader organisational impact.
You'll ideally bring:
* Experience in a HR Business Partner, People Partner or HR Manager role
* Strong Employee Relations expertise and confidence operating independently
* Experience coaching and influencing managers
* Learning & Development, talent or organisational development experience
* Confidence using HR systems, reporting tools and people data
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach
* The credibility and gravitas to build relationships across all levels of the business
* CIPD Level 5 or above
