A well-established UK legal services provider is seeking a Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer to manage a caseload of claimant personal injury matters valued up to £100,000. You will run both litigated and non-litigated claims from instruction through to resolution, ensuring cases progress efficiently while delivering excellent client service.
Role Overview
- Manage a caseload of claimant RTA personal injury claims, including matters within the RTA Portal and Intermediate Track.
- Handle Fixed Fee and Portal RTA claims, including untraced and uninsured MIB claims.
- Obtain and review appropriate medical and non-medical evidence to support and maximise claims.
- Issue proceedings through the Court Portal where required and attend hearings or conferences with Counsel where necessary.
- Advise clients on litigation risks, costs exposure and fundamental dishonesty considerations.
- Assess prospects of success throughout the lifecycle of each claim and manage cases accordingly.
- Liaise with defendant solicitors, insurers, medical agencies and counsel to progress claims effectively.
Experience Required
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer (litigation rights or working towards).
- Experience running a claimant personal injury caseload, including litigated and non-litigated claims within RTA portals.
- Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and experience progressing claims in accordance with them.
- Experience working to fee income or settlement targets.
- Strong communication, organisation and client care skills.
- Experience handling EL/PL or OL claims would be advantageous but not essential.
