An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Private Client Tax team based in Canterbury, South East England. This role offers the chance to work with a varied and high-quality client portfolio, with flexibility to focus on either advisory or compliance work depending on your experience and career goals. You may specialise in providing expert advisory support on Inheritance Tax and wider private client matters, or take responsibility for managing a portfolio of complex tax returns to ensure full compliance. The position also provides opportunities to contribute to business development initiatives and to build strong, long-term client relationships.
About the Role • Managing a portfolio of complex private client tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations • Working closely with the wider team, providing technical input and supporting advisory assignments • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering a high standard of service • Participating in business development activities, including networking, internal referrals and marketing initiatives • Contributing to the firm’s profile through written content, publications and online presence • Providing advisory support with a primary focus on Inheritance Tax, alongside exposure to areas such as global mobility, share schemes and EIS • Occasional travel to other offices or client sites as required What We’re Looking For • CTA qualified (or equivalent qualification) • Proven experience managing a portfolio of complex private client tax clients
