The Role
I am currently working with a well-established and reputable accountancy firm to recruit an experienced Tax Manager for their growing Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio while playing a key role in client advisory and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of private clients including individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates
- Act as the main point of contact, building strong client relationships
- Review and prepare Self-Assessment tax returns, including more complex cases
- Provide advice across Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, trusts, and residence/domicile matters
- Oversee employment-related compliance including P11Ds
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff
- Manage workflow and ensure timely delivery of work
- Support wider departmental and practice development initiatives
Requirements
- CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong background in private client tax
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Good technical knowledge across personal tax matters
- Experience supporting or supervising junior staff
- Strong organisational and communication skills
