Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Salary: London Fringe MPS – UPS (£34,397 – £52,488 per annum) or £169 – £263 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent opportunities available)

The successful candidate will initially join on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for a permanent contract for the right individual.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality teaching in Year 4 while providing leadership across Lower Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in driving pupil outcomes, supporting staff, and contributing to school improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the KS2 curriculum.
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
- Assess and track pupil progress effectively.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Lower KS2 phase to ensure high standards.
- Work with senior leaders on school improvement priorities.
- Support and develop colleagues within the phase.
- Contribute to curriculum development and consistency.
Wider Contribution
- Work closely with parents and carers to support learning.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- KS2 teaching experience, ideally in Lower KS2.
- Strong classroom practice with proven pupil outcomes.
- Leadership experience or readiness to step into a phase leadership role.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
