Lecturer in Plumbing & Heating Engineering

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plumbing & Heating Engineering Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider.
This role would suit either an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into education. You'll deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Plumbing & Heating programmes, helping learners develop the technical skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed within the industry.
Working across full-time study programmes and apprenticeships, you'll combine practical workshop delivery with classroom-based learning, ensuring learners are equipped with current industry standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging practical and theoretical Plumbing & Heating lessons
- Teach and assess learners across full-time and apprenticeship programmes
- Support students to develop industry-standard skills and safe working practices
- Embed current regulations, legislation and sustainability principles into delivery
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and safeguarding
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing
- Gas competency
- Industry experience within Plumbing & Heating Engineering
- Assessor and IQA qualifications desirable, or willingness to work towards them
- Strong knowledge of current industry standards and regulations
- Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting others
- Teaching qualification desirable but not essential, with support available to achieve one
