The Opportunity
Reed Practice are proud to be the go-to for a small but mighty accounting firm in Suffolk, approx 35 mins from Sudbury, to recruit a Client / Portfolio Manager.
This is a great prospect for an experienced, ambitious and dynamic Accountant to undertake a Portfolio Manager role within this growing accountancy practice. The firm is an innovative business, adaptable to the changing professional practice environment, and they value their employees highly.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a diverse and wide-ranging client portfolio, including UK limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and individuals, spanning a broad range of sectors—from financial services and construction to digital/tech and property, while also playing a key role in driving future growth.
The Role
You will initially be introduced to an existing portfolio as part of a supported and staged onboarding process, allowing you to build relationships and gain a strong understanding of the firms’ operations. Over time, you’ll:
- Take full ownership of your client portfolio
- Become involved in client meetings and relationship management
- Support and contribute to winning new business
- Develop and grow your own portfolio of clients
This role offers high levels of variety, and genuine opportunity to shape your own progression within the firm. You’ll be exposed to a broad service offering including:
- Accounts and tax compliance
- Making Tax Digital (MTD)
- Bookkeeping and payroll
- Cloud accounting solutions
- Company secretarial services
- R&D tax work

- ACCA/ ACA/AAT qualified or close to.
- Experienced in managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice working to UK regulations
- Confident dealing with a wide range of clients and sectors
- Commercially minded with an interest in business development

- Keen to grow with a forward-thinking and expanding firm
