Practice Accountant
£30,000 – £40,000 DOE
Office based in Bury
Permanent Position
An established and growing accountancy practice in the Bury area is seeking an experienced accountant with at least 4 years' recent UK general practice experience.
Applications are welcomed from individuals currently working up to a Senior level. The practice places greater emphasis on skills, attitude and commercial awareness than job titles, offering an opportunity to take on a varied and rewarding role within a supportive team environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of clients and be responsible for:
Accounts preparation
Business and personal tax compliance
Limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
Opportunities to become involved in VAT, bookkeeping, management accounts, tax planning and practice development
This is a hands-on role offering genuine variety, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to both client success and the continued growth of the practice.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Have a minimum of 4 years' recent UK practice experience (essential)
Enjoy building strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Possess excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
Be commercially aware and confident in challenging constructively when required
Be able to manage multiple deadlines whilst maintaining high standards
Bring a positive attitude, flexibility and a good sense of humour to the team
Professional qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, ACA or equivalent are welcomed, but practical experience and the right mindset are considered equally important.
