A growing professional services firm is looking for a confident Practice Client Manager to manage key client relationships across a portfolio of SME businesses.
This is not a technical accounting role. The focus is client liaison, quarterly meetings, advisory conversations and making sure business owners feel properly supported. Humanity survives another day without pretending everyone wants to reconcile ledgers for fun.
You'll be joining a well-established firm in the accountancy sector, supporting SMEs typically turning over £1m to £15m.
The role
As Practice Client Manager, you'll be the main point of contact for clients, helping them stay on track, coordinating meetings and ensuring actions are followed up properly.
Based in Coventry, this would suit someone from practice, professional services or SME advisory who enjoys building trusted relationships.
What you'll be doing
- Managing relationships with SME business owners
- Leading or supporting quarterly client meetings
- Acting as the day-to-day contact for client queries
- Following up actions after meetings
- Liaising internally to keep work moving
- Spotting where clients may need extra support
- Keeping communication clear, organised and professional
What we're looking for
- Client-facing experience within accountancy, advisory or professional services
- Confidence speaking with business owners and senior contacts
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills
- Commercial awareness and an interest in SMEs
- A personable, calm and credible communication style
- No accounting qualification required
