About the Role
An established and fast-growing freight forwarding company is looking for a Pricing / Commercial Executive to join their expanding team. - Speaking with customers to understand their shipment needs and provide suitable solutions
- Liaising with overseas agents and suppliers to secure the best possible rates
- Chasing responses and keeping quotations moving through the pipeline
- Comparing different options to ensure the most competitive offering is presented
- Keeping records up to date and ensuring all pricing activity is well organised
- Working closely with internal teams to support smooth operational flow
- Helping improve ways of working and making processes more efficient where possible
Day-to-Day Activity
- Reviewing new quote requests as they come in
- Contacting suppliers by phone and email for up-to-date pricing
- Following up regularly to avoid delays in responses
- Analysing multiple rate options and selecting the best fit
- Preparing clear and accurate customer quotations
What We’re Looking For
- Around 1–2 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain
- Some exposure to pricing, quotations, or operational freight work
- Knowledge of air and ocean freight is essential (road freight is a bonus)
- Confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and documentation
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Proactive attitude with good follow-up discipline
- Comfortable working both independently and within a small team
- Microsoft Office skills and experience with freight systems would be useful
What’s on Offer
- £30,000 – £35,000 salary depending on experience
- Annual leave starting at 21 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service
- Onsite perks including gym access and local discounts
- Clear progression opportunities as the team grows, including potential future leadership roles
- Supportive, sociable working environment with regular team events
- A business in growth mode, offering real long-term development rather than a static role
