About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis across a number of welcoming primary schools in the Hyde area.
This role involves providing individual support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 tailored support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs)
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behavioural needs
- Encourage independence and positive social interactions
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or care setting)
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
