About the school:
A modern and well-resourced primary school in the Eltham area are seeking a committed Primary Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The school serves a diverse and vibrant local community and has built a strong reputation for its inclusive ethos and high expectations.
Classrooms are well supported by additional TA's with a newly refurbished Resource Base, and with a clear focus on early attainment, particularly in phonics, reading and writing.
Leadership is proactive and supportive, with a strong emphasis on staff development and wellbeing. The school benefits from excellent facilities, including dedicated intervention spaces and a well-equipped outdoor learning environment.
About the Primary Class Teacher:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting pupils' development in phonics, reading, writing and maths
- Confident with delivering either Little Wandle and/or Read, Write INC
- Ensure the curriculum reaches all learners
- Working closely with teaching assistants and year group colleagues
The school is looking for a Primary Class Teacher who:
- Holds QTS and has recent EYFS and/or KS1 teaching experience
- Has a strong understanding of phonics and early learning strategies
- Maintains high expectations for behaviour and progress
- Is organised, proactive and reflective in their practice
- Works well within a collaborative team
