We, Academics, are currently looking to gain a Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT), for our reputable primary schools based in Birmingham, who is enthusiastic and driven. For recently certified teachers, this is a fantastic chance to build their confidence, obtain useful classroom experience, and start a meaningful teaching career in a caring and fulfilling setting.
Being a Primary ECT gives you the opportunity to develop your teaching abilities in a range of school environments while working with various year groups. This position is perfect for people who are keen to advance their careers and are passionate about having a positive influence on children's learning and development.
As an ECT you will be expected to:
- Deliver appropriate and engaging lessons for all abilities
- Ensure that classroom rules and routines are followed
- Work in collaboration with other teachers and teaching assistants to support the students
- Display an eagerness and commitment to professional development
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Early Career Teacher (ECT) Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ equivalent or pending QTS completion
- A great and relevant understanding of the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
- Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
