Year 6 Class Teacher – September Start

Contract: Full-time
Salary: M1 – M4 (Inner London)

A welcoming and friendly one-form entry primary school in Putney is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a lovely small school with a strong community feel, supportive leadership, and well-behaved pupils. The role is initially for one academic year, with the potential to extend beyond this for the right candidate.

The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging and structured lessons, build strong relationships with pupils and parents, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Role Will Involve:

  • Full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils' academic and personal development
  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS and have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ideally Year 6)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be organised, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
