A supportive and community-focused SEN school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join their team. This full-time position is ideal for a compassionate educator looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of KS2 pupils (year 3) with Autism (ASD) and complex learning needs.
The Primary Teacher Role
As a Primary Teacher in this welcoming Southwark SEN school, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of KS2 pupils with ASD and complex learning needs. You will work closely with the school's multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to help each child build confidence, communication, and independence.
The successful Primary Teacher will bring creativity, empathy, and adaptability to the role, creating a nurturing classroom where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities

Deliver and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD and complex learning needs.

Create and implement individual learning plans to promote communication and independence.

Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring learning goals are met.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Primary Teacher Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching primary aged students

Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and communication strategies.

Excellent teamwork, empathy, and classroom management skills.

A passion for helping every child achieve their best.
