Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking compassionate, dedicated and adaptable SEND Supply Teachers to work across a range of supportive mainstream and specialist schools throughout Southport and the surrounding areas.
We are recruiting for opportunities supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Complex Needs.
Whether you are an experienced SEND Teacher, Primary Teacher with SEND experience, or an ECT looking to develop your skills within inclusive education, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a SEND Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential by creating engaging, nurturing and inclusive learning environments.
Your responsibilities may include:
Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment Differentiating learning activities to support a wide range of abilities and needs Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and multidisciplinary teams Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Using positive behaviour support strategies to encourage engagement and progress Building positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff Promoting confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing
What We're Looking For
We are looking for teachers who are:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experienced in SEND, specialist education or inclusive mainstream settings Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs Patient, empathetic and resilient in their approach Skilled at adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs Strong communicators who can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Teachers with experience in Autism, SEMH, Complex Needs, PMLD or Alternative Provision settings are particularly encouraged to apply.
ECTs with a genuine interest in SEND are warmly encouraged to apply.
