Primary Teaching Assistant Southend-on-Sea | £85 – £95 a day

At the Essex Team, we work with a wide variety of primary schools in Southend. We offer total flexibility-whether you're looking for day-to-day supply to fit around your lifestyle or a long-term position in a local school.
Your Role:
- Supporting Learning: Working 1:1 or in small groups to help children understand lessons and stay engaged.
- Removing Barriers: Assisting students with additional needs (SEN), including Autism or ADHD, by adapting tasks to suit their learning style.
- Classroom Support: Helping the teacher set up activities, manage classroom behavior, and create a positive learning environment.
- Building Confidence: Providing emotional and social support to help pupils grow in independence and self-esteem.
- Encouraging Interaction: Supporting children during play and group work to develop their social skills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children (schools, youth work, or childcare settings).
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable personality.
- A basic understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
- An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role).
