We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide high-quality support both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils requiring additional assistance.
- Work with children with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Help create an inclusive, engaging, and positive learning environment.
- Assist with behaviour management and pupil wellbeing.
- Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and academic progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with primary-aged children.
- Be confident supporting pupils with SEN or be willing to develop their SEN knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Be a positive team player with a proactive attitude.
- Hold relevant qualifications or experience in education, childcare, or support work (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
