Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to support a variety of welcoming primary schools throughout Worksop on a temporary, flexible ongoing basis.
This Primary Teaching Assistant role provides the opportunity to work across different year groups while supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, including occasional SEN support within mainstream classrooms.
Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £92.56 – £95 per day (paid via PAYE, no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant in Worksop, you will support teachers and pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping children access learning in a positive and engaging environment.
The Primary Teaching Assistant role throughout Worksop may also involve intervention work and supporting pupils with additional needs within mainstream settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom, small group and 1:1 support
- Help prepare learning resources
- Encourage pupil engagement and confidence
- Support behaviour management
- Promote inclusion across the classroom
- Maintain safeguarding standards
Candidate Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
- Previous experience supporting children
- Excellent communication skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
