Principal Data Modeller – Snowflake
Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £95,000 + Bonus, PHC, pension
The Role:
A Financial Services Business in Bristol are looking for a Principal Data Modeller to define, own, and evolve the enterprise data model within a complex, data-driven organisation. This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role responsible for establishing consistency, clarity, and trust in how data is structured, governed, and used across the business.
You will act as the design authority for data modelling, ensuring that data assets support analytics, reporting, regulatory requirements, and AI/ML use cases. Working across multiple domains, you will bring alignment to key business concepts and enable scalable, reusable data products.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, influencing senior stakeholders, and shaping enterprise-wide data strategy without direct line management responsibility.
Principal Data Modeller – Required Experience
- Senior level experience in data modelling, data architecture, or related roles
- Experience within financial services or regulated environments
- Experience working with cloud platforms – AWS & Snowflake
- Experience working with data product or platform operating models
- Familiarity with event-driven or streaming data architectures
- Deep expertise in data modelling methodologies (conceptual, logical, dimensional)
- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks
- Strategic thinker with a focus on scalability and reuse
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Passion for data innovation and evolving best practice
