A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Fee Earner to join its busy and growing Private Client department in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to manage a varied caseload while providing high-quality advice and support to clients across a broad range of private client matters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling their own caseload with an emphasis on delivering exceptional client care, building strong relationships, and contributing to the continued success of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a varied caseload of private client matters from instruction through to conclusion.
Advising clients on wills, probate, estate administration, and lasting powers of attorney.
Preparing and drafting wills, trusts, and associated documentation.
Administering estates, including obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
Advising clients on inheritance tax and estate planning matters.
Managing deputyship and Court of Protection matters where required.
Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, HMRC, and other professional advisers.
Conducting client meetings and providing clear, practical legal advice.
Ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures.
Maintaining high levels of client service and developing long-term client relationships.
Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the department.
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx), STEP-qualified professional, or an experienced Private Client Fee Earner with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
Proven experience handling a broad range of private client matters.
Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.
Experience advising on inheritance tax and estate planning matters would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.

Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
