Private Client Partner
Location: Dorchester – Hybrid Working
A leading Legal 500 Private Client team is seeking an experienced Partner specialising in Wills, Trusts and Probate to drive growth and develop its offering in Dorchester and the surrounding region.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a practice in a location with strong regional connections and access to high-quality private client work, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, farming families and landed estates.
The Role
As a Private Client Partner, you will:
- Lead and grow the Wills, Trusts & Probate offering in Dorset.
- Manage a varied caseload including complex wills, estate administration, tax and succession planning, trusts and LPAs
- Develop and maintain relationships with referrers, professional advisers and local networks
- Play a key role in business development and strategic growth
- Mentor and support junior lawyers as the team expands
- Work closely with related practice areas including residential property, commercial, construction and family
About You
You will be:
- An experienced Private Client solicitor at Partner or Senior Associate level ready for partnership
- Confident handling complex estates, tax planning and trust matters
- Skilled in client relationship management, especially with high-value clients and professional referrers
- Commercially minded with proven business development success
- Collaborative, supportive and keen to contribute to a growing team culture
- STEP qualified or working towards STEP (preferred but not essential)
