cer Financial are working alongside a boutique accounting firm, based in West End. They are seeking a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager / Manager to work with them on a permanent basis.
The responsibilities of the Private Client Tax Assistant Manager / Manager will include:
· Helping manage a portfolio of 300+ private clients and reporting to Directors and Partners.
· Handles complex tax affairs for high-net-worth individuals, including non-UK domiciled/non-long-term resident clients.
· Responsible for overseeing private client tax compliance processes and arising advisory with the support of the team.
· Collaborates closely with colleagues across business tax, audit, and accountancy teams.
· Provides both compliance and advisory services, ensuring a high standard of client service.
· Acts as a key contact for client queries and relationships.
· Reviews self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
· Regularly liaises with HMRC and other third parties to manage clients’ tax affairs effectively.
· Requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication skills, time management, and a proactive approach.
· Involves mentoring, training, and supporting junior team members and trainees within a training-focused environment.
The successful candidate will have:
· Familiarity with CCH software
· ATT / CTA or working towards either. Support for the competition of qualifications is provided.
· Understanding of UK personal taxes
· Experience of advising non-long-term residents, knowledge of trusts and of inheritance tax and probate, an advantage.
