Overview
An international financial services business operating in the private markets and wealth management space is seeking to hire a Private Funds Lawyer into its London legal team.
The business works closely with leading investment managers and financial institutions to support the distribution and operation of alternative investment products across private equity, private credit and related strategies. The role offers broad exposure and sits within a collaborative, commercially minded in-house environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising on the structuring and distribution of private funds, feeder vehicles and related alternative investment products
- Supporting fund documentation, governance matters and lifecycle events
- Assisting with regulatory and cross-border distribution considerations relevant to alternative investments
- Working closely with internal product, commercial and operational teams on new initiatives
- Managing external counsel and contributing to the development of scalable legal processes
Required Qualifications
- England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common-law jurisdiction)
- 2-6 years' PQE
- Experience advising on private funds / alternatives, gained at a leading law firm and/or in-house
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and comfortable working closely with non-legal stakeholders
- Interested in the evolution of private markets and how they are accessed by a broader investor base
