Tiger Recruitment
Tiger Private is recruiting an experienced and capable Private Housekeeper and Cook for a friendly family home in London's W11. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in running a household to a high standard and loves cooking for a busy, active family.
The principals have three children aged between 9 and 14, plus a dog and a bunny. The home is a five-bedroom, four-floor property with a small additional TV area on the fifth floor. It is a warm and lively environment, and the family are looking for someone who will integrate naturally into the rhythm of the home. Monday to Friday, 12pm to 9pm, with occasional weekend work.
You will take full responsibility for both the housekeeping and cooking across the home. On the housekeeping side, this includes general tidying, hoovering, dusting, mopping, making beds, laundry and ironing, overseeing tradespeople and day-to-day maintenance, and caring for the family pets. In the kitchen, you will plan and prepare family meals, manage grocery shopping and food stock, and cater for occasional small dinner parties in both formal and informal settings, around four times per year.
You will have a minimum of two years' paid experience in a comparable private household role, with strong, verifiable references and a valid DBS. You are a confident and creative cook, able to produce high-quality meals while being mindful of some food intolerances within the family. You are self-motivated, discreet, reliable and able to manage the home independently with minimal direction. Good English is essential.
