Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Haverhill for a Temporary Process Operative to join their team immediately.
This is a hands-on role within the Stores and Operations department, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with the possibility of extension beyond the initial 3-month assignment.
The Role
Reporting to the Day Team Supervisor, you will support daily operational activities across stores, shipping, documentation, and material handling functions while ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out operational tasks in accordance with company procedures and work instructions
- Booking material movements accurately within SAP
- Issuing paperwork for the loading and unloading of tankers, lorries, and containers
- Printing stock, shipping, sample, and product labels
- Supporting shipment and dispatch activities
- Sampling and labelling finished products and raw materials
- Maintaining accurate documentation and operational records
- Providing excellent internal and external customer service
- Reporting any operational issues or discrepancies promptly to management
- Learning and developing skills to support changing business requirements
About You
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, stores, warehouse, or process operations
- SAP experience would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Comfortable working in a physically active environment involving some manual handling
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Dangerous goods knowledge or training is beneficial but not essential
