Procurement Analyst

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a Procurement Analyst to join their growing supply chain team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an analytically minded procurement professional who enjoys getting under the skin of supplier performance, market data, and sourcing strategies. The role offers a blend of procurement analytics and category management, providing exposure to strategic sourcing initiatives that directly impact business performance and supply chain resilience.
The Role
As Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting procurement and supply chain decision-making through detailed analysis of supplier, spend, and market data. Working closely with procurement, operations, and senior stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, mitigate risk, and strengthen sourcing strategies across the business.
This position will suit someone who enjoys turning complex data into actionable insights and is keen to develop their career within a strategic procurement environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse supplier performance data, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Assess supplier quality metrics and support initiatives to improve overall supply chain performance
- Evaluate geographical and geopolitical supply chain risks, highlighting potential vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies
- Support category management activities, providing market intelligence and spend analysis to inform sourcing decisions
- Review supply chain depth and resilience, identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, and risk reduction
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, reports, and KPIs
- Conduct supplier and category reviews, supporting strategic procurement projects
- Work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, operations, quality, and logistics functions
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve cost, quality, service, and supply continuity
About You
- Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or procurement analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data
- Experience using Excel and ERP/MRP systems to analyse procurement or supply chain information
- Understanding of supplier performance measurement and procurement processes
- Knowledge of category management principles would be advantageous
- Commercially aware with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and inquisitive approach with a passion for continuous improvement
