H Squared Talent Ltd
- Career building opportunity
- Flexible hours & good benefits package
- A genuinely supportive and friendly team
Fancy joining a small, friendly engineering team where what you do actually matters? We're looking for someone with a knack for building genuine relationships with suppliers, a sharp eye for detail, and the kind of can-do attitude that makes an SME tick.
In this role you'll take ownership of purchase orders from start to finish, chasing deliveries, liaising with suppliers, and stepping in when timelines need a nudge. You'll be the friendly, persistent voice on the phone that gets things moving (because, let's face it, suppliers do more for people they actually like working with). As you grow into the role, there's real scope to get involved in supplier performance, KPIs, and process improvements too.
This isn't a job where you'll be stuck behind a desk all day. It’s a close-knit team, so when things get busy, everyone mucks in, whether that's helping pack a delivery crate or covering reception for ten minutes. If you like variety and don't mind rolling your sleeves up, you'll fit right in.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Raising purchase orders, and managing the orders through to delivery
- Updating and maintaining all purchasing records and data within the ERP.
- Building relationships with suppliers to ensure a good working relationship, and monitoring supplier performance.
- Looking for opportunities to improve the supply chain
- Working closely with other members of the department including production planning and the wider supply chain team.
The Candidate:
- Experience raising orders and managing suppliers (any industry – manufacturing, planning, procurement or supply chain backgrounds all welcome)
- Comfortable using an ERP/MRP system
- Solid Excel skills
- A natural relationship-builder who's happy to pick up the phone
- That SME mindset: flexible, proactive, and happy to help wherever needed
