Interim Procurement Specialist
Based in London, hybrid – 3 days per week onsite & Inside IR35
Length: 3 months
We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead on utilities spend (gas, electricity & water) across a large and varied estate.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivering savings quickly, improving supplier arrangements and bringing structure to a largely unmanaged category.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver savings through effective category management and supplier negotiation
- Lead utilities category planning using spend analysis and market insight
- Develop and implement clear delivery plans from approved business cases
- Review and optimise existing frameworks (incl. LASER)
- Improve contract management and supplier performance
- Track savings, manage risks and ensure governance compliance
- Ensure compliance with procurement governance and legislation
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ procurement experience (public sector preferred)
- CIPS qualified (essential)
- Strong track record of delivering commercial savings
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
- Utilities/category management experience desirable
