An established alternative credit investment manager is seeking a Product Controller to join its Product Control team in London.
This is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded credit-focused investment platform and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the firm's proprietary data warehouse. Working across Fund Accounting, Operations, Risk, Investor Relations and Technology, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and consistency of critical investment, accounting and risk data used across the business.
The role offers broad exposure to credit markets, fund operations and investment data management, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a deeper understanding of how a sophisticated alternative investment manager operates.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and enhancing the firm's proprietary data platform
- Monitoring and validating investment, accounting and risk data across multiple systems
- Performing daily and monthly reconciliations of positions, cashflows and performance metrics
- Investigating and resolving data discrepancies and reconciliation breaks
- Validating pricing data, instrument definitions and portfolio information
- Working closely with Operations, Fund Accounting, Risk and Technology teams
- Supporting data governance initiatives and control frameworks
- Contributing to technology and process improvement projects designed to enhance efficiency and scalability
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:
- 1-3 years' experience within Product Control, Fund Accounting, Operations or Investment Data Management
- Exposure to credit products, including loans, bonds and related instruments
- Strong understanding of NAVs, P&L reporting and investment data
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset
- Experience reconciling data across multiple systems and sources
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine interest in financial markets, technology and data
Exposure to portfolio management systems, data warehouses or investment platforms would be highly advantageous.
