A global investment bank is looking for a VP-level Product Governance Specialist to join its Global Markets Fixed Income business.
You'll support the approval and review of new products across Sales & Trading, covering Securities Finance, Credit Trading, Macro Rates, FX and Risk Solutions. This is a great opportunity to work closely with trading desks, business managers and key support functions where you will be help bring new products to market whilst strengthening how products are governed across the business.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating the approval of new products through the New Product Committee (NPC)
- Working with sales, trading and support teams to prepare business cases and supporting materials
- Helping to improve product governance (including standards, booking arrangements, trader mandates and data lineage)
- Supporting product reviews after launch to make sure products stay within risk appetite
- Partnering with Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance and IT to close out approval conditions
What we're looking for
- A good understanding of Fixed Income products (bonds, repo, credit, derivatives and FX)
- Around 5 years' experience in a governance role within financial services; regulatory knowledge is a plus
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to present information simply and clearly
- Experience improving processes and managing change across front and back office teams
- A genuine team player who builds strong relationships across different teams
