Product Manager

E.ON

As a Product Manager at E.ON Next (12-month FTC), you will play a pivotal role in shaping thoughtful, intelligent products that blend AI and non-AI capabilities to serve a growing and diverse customer base. You'll bring curiosity, empathy and creativity to solving complex problems, working closely with technology and design to craft solutions that feel intuitive, responsible and impactful.

You'll own the full product journey, from discovery through to delivery, while championing the use of AI where it adds meaningful value. With a strong understanding of user needs and emerging technologies, you'll guide the development of adaptive, data-driven products and agents that continuously learn and evolve, all while fostering a collaborative and inclusive product culture.

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Gently guiding and prioritising your team's focus to address meaningful customer challenges and unlock valuable opportunities

  • Developing a deep, empathetic understanding of your users, their behaviours and the wider market landscape

  • Owning the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through to delivery, across both AI and non-AI products

  • Shaping intelligent, adaptive products and agents that respond thoughtfully to user context and evolve through data

  • Using data and insights to inform decisions, continuously refining product performance and customer experience

  • Championing your product vision with clarity and passion, bringing stakeholders on a shared journey

  • Embracing experimentation and iteration, validating ideas through testing (including live or simulated models) to ensure meaningful outcomes

  • Actively contributing to the Product Community, sharing knowledge and supporting collective growth in product and AI practices

Are we the perfect match?

  • Around 3 years' experience in product management, ideally within agile discovery and delivery environments

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on experience

  • Experience working closely with UX/UI specialists and engineering teams, using discovery techniques to shape solutions

  • A strong understanding of when and how AI creates value compared to traditional software approaches

  • Practical experience applying AI to solve real-world problems, including agentic or autonomous systems

  • A thoughtful approach to building safe, responsible AI, with awareness of risk, governance and appropriate autonomy levels

  • Confidence in using data and analytics to guide decisions and measure success

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a natural ability to influence and bring people together

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience working on AI-driven or data-rich products within a customer-focused environment

  • Familiarity with the AI Product Development Lifecycle (AIPDLC) and experimentation frameworks

  • Exposure to energy, utilities or similarly complex regulated industries

  • Comfort working with ambiguity and navigating evolving problem spaces

  • A passion for inclusive design and creating products that genuinely improve people's lives

  • Experience contributing to or nurturing product communities or knowledge-sharing initiatives

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and influencing skills

Here's what else you need to know:

  • Role may close earlier due to high applications

  • Fixed term contract length – 12 months

  • Competitive salary

  • Location – London or Nottingham with travel to our other sites when required.

  • Excellent parental leave allowance.

  • Award-Winning Workplace – We're proud to be named a Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2025 and the Best Place to Work for 16-34-year-olds
