Production Coordinator, Kirkbymoorside

You will co-ordinate and support shop floor activities for the manufacture of subsea components.

Production Coordinator duties will include:

  • Coordinate the release of production orders from Stores to the shop floor.
  • Monitor the progress of production builds and provide status updates as required.
  • Track the location and availability of kits, components and sub-assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Receive and verify kits and shortages from Stores, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate kit tracking, shortage and production status records.
  • Support Production Supervisors, Lead Hands and Technicians with day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Liaise with Stores, Purchasing, Engineering and Quality departments to resolve production-related issues.
  • Expedite materials, parts and documentation to support production schedules.
  • Generate and issue job cards, work instructions and production documentation through the ERP system.
  • Assist with workload planning and prioritisation of production activities.
  • Monitor material shortages and escalate risks that could impact delivery schedules.
  • Support inventory and work-in-progress (WIP) control activities.

What you need to be successful as a Production Coordinator:-

  • Technical knowledge
  • Good eye for detail
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel
  • Experience of Microsoft Navision (Business Central) or similar ERP/MRP system
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous technical or mechanical experience (desirable)
