Job Description – Production Operative (Two-Shift)
SUMMARY
As part of a brake pad production team, you will be working closely with colleagues in various stages of production to manufacture brake pads.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate various equipment and machinery to produce parts in accordance with the relevant drawings and specifications.
- Maximise daily output in-line with targets, producing parts to set priorities to ensure high customer service levels are achieved.
- Count and inspect items, as per the details shown on the works order.
- Perform physical stock movements (does involve some heavy lifting).
- Preparing items for collection/delivery.
- Complete paperwork showing daily production.
- Any other duties as issued by the Production Manager.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Previous production, manufacturing experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided;
- Ability to work independently in line with standard operating procedures and follow instructions;
- Experience in manual handling preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Working hours: Rotating "Two shift” pattern
- Monday-Thursday: Week 1 – 06:00-14:00 / Week 2 – 14:00-22:00;
- Friday: Week 1 – 06:00-13:00 / Week 2 – 13:00-20:00;
- (30 minute paid lunch break included);
- Total 39 hours per week.
Holiday Entitlement: 29 days including bank holidays.
