Job Description – Production Operative (Two-Shift)

SUMMARY

As part of a brake pad production team, you will be working closely with colleagues in various stages of production to manufacture brake pads.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate various equipment and machinery to produce parts in accordance with the relevant drawings and specifications.
  • Maximise daily output in-line with targets, producing parts to set priorities to ensure high customer service levels are achieved.
  • Count and inspect items, as per the details shown on the works order.
  • Perform physical stock movements (does involve some heavy lifting).
  • Preparing items for collection/delivery.
  • Complete paperwork showing daily production.
  • Any other duties as issued by the Production Manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Previous production, manufacturing experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided;
  • Ability to work independently in line with standard operating procedures and follow instructions;
  • Experience in manual handling preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Working hours: Rotating "Two shift” pattern

  • Monday-Thursday: Week 1 – 06:00-14:00 / Week 2 – 14:00-22:00;
  • Friday: Week 1 – 06:00-13:00 / Week 2 – 13:00-20:00;
  • (30 minute paid lunch break included);
  • Total 39 hours per week.

Holiday Entitlement: 29 days including bank holidays.
