Production Operative – Ammanford

£12.71 per hour | Temp to Perm | No Bonus | Interview Required | Start Available Monday

Nu Staff are recruiting for Production Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Ammanford, specialising in the production of sash windows. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy production environment on a temp to perm basis, with structured training and a supportive working environment. Candidates are needed to start as soon as Monday on the afternoon shift, subject to a successful interview.

As a Production Operative, you'll support the efficient and high-quality manufacture of windows by operating machinery, assembling components, and following production processes to meet daily targets.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00AM – 2:00PM
  • Monday to Thursday: 2:00PM – 12:00AM

Pay Rates

  • Shift Rate: £12.71 per hour
  • Bonus Opportunity: Not applicable for this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production line machinery and tools safely and efficiently to manufacture sash windows in accordance with company standards
  • Assemble window components including frames, sashes, glazing, and hardware to precise specifications
  • Carry out quality checks at various stages of production to ensure all products meet required quality and safety standards
  • Follow detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with health and safety regulations
  • Report any defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to a team leader or supervisor promptly
  • Meet hourly and daily production targets while maintaining high attention to detail and product accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support loading and unloading of materials as required, and ensure accurate labelling and storage of finished products
  • Participate in regular training and toolbox talks to stay compliant with company procedures and health & safety updates

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work instructions precisely
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent quality and accuracy in work
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report faults
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, machinery, or production methods
