Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Elmswell, Bury St Edmunds (please note: this site is not accessible via public transport)
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7am-6pm
Pay: £12.71
About the Role
This role is based within a factory setting. Some areas, including cold storage, may operate at low temperatures, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake production tasks as directed by the supervisory team.
- Operate machinery and equipment, adhering to safety guidelines at all times.
- Prepare recipes and handle raw meats, ensuring proper hygiene practices.
- Monitor the production process, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assemble and package products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.
- Must be comfortable preparing recipes and handling raw meats.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and understand instructions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Manual handling up to 25kg
