Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join our key Department.
Role Overview:
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating operating machinery to convert large rolls of material into smaller, customer-specific sizes. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.
£13 per hour
Monday to Friday
shifts on rotation
6am – 2pm
8am – 4pm
2pm – 10pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor slitting machines safely and efficiently
- Set up machinery according to job specifications
- Measure, cut, and rewind materials
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Record production data accurately
- Identify and report faults, defects, or machine issues
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet targets
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
- Experience operating machinery (slitting experience desirable but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
